Can you see highlights of Florence in a day? The answer is yes, when you had originally planned on going to Pisa for a day trip (skipping Florence entirely), but then change your mind and take an open bus tour over and over.....
After the train ride from Chiusi in Tuscany to Florence, no one really wanted to spend more time on a train. And, the trip to Pisa and back was going to be a few hours....plus, we were booked on a train going out of Florence later that evening to Venice, where we would spend a couple of days....more train. We opted to skip Pisa...the tower is still leaning, I am told. ; )
So, what did we see?
Well, from my dad's point of view (which was very comical on tours)...we saw this..."the lady with the rock on her head"....at least 10 times.
And, we saw a statue of a naked guy in bronze...some refer to him as "David".

Some cute kids...
A great new pair of shades...love these designer Italian sunglasses.
The Duomo....a building with more stairs than anyone would ever care to climb, in my opinion...
My son?? What is he wearing??? (Oh, that is just the apron that everyone who comes here takes a picture in...but no one actually buys!)
And to end the day, a great pair of knockers....
For some reason, my kids were taking lots of pictures of doors.
